Finding the right fit for you & your pup
Every dog is different. If you’re unsure which option fits your pup best, I’ll help you decide. In a quick chat we’ll look at your dog’s age, energy, confidence, recall, social comfort and your goals. From there I’ll recommend the right path—1:1 intro sessions, small-pack adventure walks, or training add-ons. The aim is simple: safe, enriching outings that build skills and confidence.
Still not sure? Book a free, no-obligation meet & greet and I’ll point you in the right direction.
Did you know?
- Dogs need both physical exercise and mental stimulation to stay balanced. Walks that include sniffing, problem-solving, and training challenges tire the brain far more effectively than mileage alone.
- Socialisation in safe, structured settings helps dogs build confidence and learn how to communicate politely with others. Regular pack adventures provide exactly that.
- Consistency and routine reduce stress and help dogs feel secure. Having the same pack and a regular walking schedule helps dogs thrive.
- Obedience doesn’t just happen. Everyday reinforcement of skills like recall, leash manners, and calm behaviour in real-life situations is the key to long-term success.
Adventure Pack Walks
Structured adventures designed for enrichment, socialisation, and fun.
What's Involved?
Each pack walk is more than just a stroll. Dogs enjoy a mixture of on-leash and off-leash exploration in safe, carefully chosen environments, balanced with real-world training. Walks run for a minimum of 2 hours, giving plenty of time for exercise, sniffing, and social interaction. With pick-up and drop-off included, your dog will be out of the house for at least 3 hours of enrichment and adventure.
What are the requirements?
Before joining the pack, every dog completes a minimum of four 1:1 introduction sessions. These sessions focus on building the foundation skills needed for pack walks, including:
A strong bond and trust with the handler
Reliable recall
Leash manners
Positive socialisation
Any individual training goals specific to your dog
Once ready, dogs are gradually introduced to a small, well-matched group to ensure safety and confidence. Training continues on every outing, with progression at your dog’s pace. Off-leash freedom is only given when complete trust and reliability have been established.

Homestays
A home away from home. A safe and loving alternative to kennels. Your dog joins our family with daily adventures, cuddles, and consistent care.
What's Involved?
Homestays at Teacher’s Pets are more than just overnight care. Your dog will stay in a safe, home environment where they receive the same love and care as if they were in their own home. Days include participation in pack walks for exercise, socialisation, and training, along with downtime in a calm home setting.
What are the requirements?
Dogs either need to already be a Teacher’s Pets Pack Walking member or go through the same induction process as pack dogs before staying. For dogs coming for an extended period, a short trial stay may be required to ensure they settle in comfortably.
Since homestays are in a home environment, dogs must be somewhat friendly with cats or willing to be crate trained when needed. This ensures a safe and positive experience for every dog in our care.
